WALCZAK Floorboards
Long, wide and timeless, they form a solid foundation for an attractive interior. Our floorboards are 100% wood, which is why they look superb in any interior and add brilliance to rooms. WALCZAK is a premium brand that guarantees the highest quality parameters and perfect surface finish of its products.
Moreover, we can offer you full order personalisation. In other companies, choosing a colour from a collection often means a pre-set grade, fitting pattern and specific floorboard dimensions. With us, you can adjust each of these parameters individually, without any limitations.

Fitting patterns
By far the most popular way of fitting floorboards is the so-called irregular brick pattern. The classic herringbone and Hungarian point are also highly regarded.

Brick pattern
The most popular way to fit floorboards. Boards of varying lengths are laid in parallel, with their ends staggered as much as possible.

Classic herringbone
An elegant pattern requiring boards of equal length. Boards fitted at a 90° angle to each other.

Hungarian point 45°
Board ends cut at a 45° angle. Creates a subtler, more refined pattern.

Hungarian point 60°
Board ends cut at a 60° angle. An elongated pattern that adds elegance to a room.
Floorboard grades
The grade defines the character and wood structure visible on the surface. The richness of nature offers both subtle, uniform structures and lively floors with varied grain patterns, with smaller or larger knots.

Excellence
Natural colour and wood structure, small sound knots permissible.

Harmony
Highly varied colour and wood structure, strong staining, sound knots permissible.

Country
Highly varied colour and wood structure, strong staining, large knots with checks permissible.

Polar
Selected elements with sapwood and light discolouration.
Innovative construction
The perfect floor combines the natural beauty of wood with modern technology.
For decades, our family company has been implementing proprietary wood processing solutions backed by protective certificates granted by the Polish Patent Office. We use unique technology that allows us to produce solid floorboards with longitudinal and transverse notches, while fully preserving their technical and aesthetic qualities.
Thanks to the notches, the floorboards feature greater flexibility, which enables precise installation and guarantees floor stability during use. A natural, properly maintained wooden floor can bring joy for many generations.

Constructional notch system
"(...) the specific properties of the oak floorboard [by WALCZAK] give it the attribute of a flooring material with increased dimensional stability"
— Dr Eng. Jerzy Majka, Poznań University of Life Sciences
Dimensional stability
For both types of floors, the feature that ensures the floor will serve us for many years is their dimensional stability. Wood, as a hygroscopic material, has a natural tendency to absorb and release moisture. WALCZAK solid floorboards have research-confirmed increased dimensional stability. Our experience in wood seasoning has also been transferred to engineered floorboards, where their construction additionally benefits dimensional stability. Successive layers have alternating grain orientation, which further reduces shrinkage and swelling of the wood due to changes in humidity.
Underfloor heating
Both engineered and 16 mm solid floorboards by WALCZAK are suitable for underfloor heating. However, it should be noted that installing a wooden floor on this type of system is not an easy task and requires considerable experience from both the heating installer and the parquet fitter. Wood, as a natural material, reacts to changing environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature, and underfloor heating significantly increases the fluctuations of these factors.

Solid or engineered floorboard?
Our range includes both solid and engineered floorboards. A solid floorboard is made entirely from a single piece of oak. An engineered floorboard, as the name suggests, is built from a top layer of oak and a plywood or hardwood backing.
These types of floorboards have a thinner wear layer than solid boards, which reduces the number of refinishing cycles possible over the years, but on the other hand, the engineered construction allows us to produce wider floorboards.

All dimensions in the table below are given in millimetres. Thicknesses in the table are nominal values of our unfinished products. Engineered floorboards with a thickness of 15 and 14 mm have a plywood bottom layer, while 12.5 mm floorboards have a hardwood backing.
You can also check the historical dimension tables if you would like to verify the authenticity of the boards you purchased.
